Therapy Dog Test

To become a Certified Therapy Dog, your dog must first past the Canine Good Citizen test along with a test from one of the organizations of your choice below.  New applicants should first observe a handler/dog team during a facility visit before undergoing their test. There are no perfect breeds to become Therapy Dogs, if your dog is friendly, well manered, not aggressive to other dogs, healthy and at least 1 year of age they would make a great therapy dog. These are the organizations that Tails of Aloha is certified to test for. Each organization has their own test and rules so please take a look at them all then you can decide which organization you would like to test for.  If you have any questions, please feel free to email Gayle Igarashi.
